The weather was at its best when I warmly welcomed the 46 participants from Erwin Renz Metallwarenfabrik at Hotel Sonnenhof in Aspach on June 15, 2023 at 4:30 PM. Divided into seven teams, we set off together on our iPad Tour — a modern adventure that blends fun with a focused team building experience in Aspach.
After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app, an air of excitement quickly spread. The high-tech Scavenger Hunt led the groups through Aspach’s lively streets; each team received tasks, puzzles and creative challenges that tested observation, communication and resourcefulness.
The teams were on their own during the tour and competed keenly for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and successfully completing shared team tasks. I remained available by phone throughout to assist with questions or technical issues — the mix of self-organization and reliable backup worked wonderfully.
Stops at well-known spots like the Stegmühle and St. Juliana Church (Aspach) provided delightful moments of discovery. The tasks at these landmarks invited creative approaches and prompted plenty of laughter and exchange. The live leaderboard in the app kept the excitement high and fostered genuine team spirit: the team building experience in Aspach turned into a playful break from everyday routine with real impact.
After exactly two hours all groups met again at Hotel Sonnenhof for the awards ceremony. The atmosphere was buoyant, and praise was abundant for the successful combination of technology, city exploration and cooperation. Winners or not — every group went home with fresh impressions and strengthened connections.
