Team Building Event VINCI Energies Service GmbH
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of leading a special Geocaching experience on June 13, 2023, for 13 participants from VINCI Energies Service GmbH in Mitte. We met at Reichstagufer, where I welcomed the group and gave a brief overview of the schedule. After a detailed briefing, we showed everyone how to use the CityHunters app on the provided tablets so they were well prepared for the challenge.
The group was split into two teams and off they went: pure team building experience in Mitte. The teams set out, explored the city on their own and entered a friendly competition. Along the route there were puzzles, small team tasks and hidden clues — points were awarded for correct answers and creative collaboration. In this way sightseeing was combined with active teamwork.
The atmosphere in Mitte helped make it a success: perfect weather, high spirits and well-known sights like the Reichstag building, the Brandenburg Gate and parts of Museum Island provided impressive backdrops for the challenges. Time and again I heard laughter and moments of discovery when a puzzle was solved or a hidden clue was found.
During the tour the teams were largely left to their own devices — just how a team building experience in Mitte should work: initiative, communication and mutual trust were front and center. Of course I was available by phone if help was needed or questions arose, ensuring the event stayed safe and well supported.
After exactly two hours everyone reconvened at Reichstagufer for a short awards ceremony. Excitement, applause and many shared memories made the finale special. It was wonderful to see how people with different personalities came together as a team, found solutions together and visibly grew closer.
Geocaching with CityHunters combines play, discovery and team dynamics — an ideal format for a team building experience in Mitte. I’m already looking forward to the next event and invite all companies to rediscover their city and strengthen team cohesion in a playful way.
