Team Building Event STP Infromationstechnologie GmbH
Fourteen enthusiastic colleagues from STP Informationstechnologie GmbH joined me for an exciting iPad Tour in Karlsruhe.
As the team guide I welcomed the group at the central meeting point on Brauerstraße and gave a brief introduction to using the iPads and the CityHunters App. After the briefing the participants were split into three teams and our interactive city adventure began.
Our tour combined modern technology with playful competition: the teams were on their own, competing for the most points and solving puzzles and creative team challenges at various stations. Points were awarded for correct answers, clever solutions and good teamwork. This brought the team building experience in Karlsruhe to life.
As they moved through Karlsruhe the groups discovered familiar sights and collected not only points but shared memories as well. Between Karlsruhe Palace, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe and the Center for Art and Media there were many aha moments and smiling faces.
As team guide I was reachable by phone during the tour and could help with questions or technical issues. The weather cooperated, keeping spirits consistently positive and motivated, ideal conditions for genuine team building experience in Karlsruhe.
The CityHunters App connected the teams in real time, displayed scores and added to the competitive fun. Strategy, observation and communication were required, qualities every company appreciates at a team building event.
After exactly three hours all groups met back at the starting point on Brauerstraße for the joint award ceremony. During a short debrief and the awarding of the winning team it became clear that it was not just about winning but above all about solidarity and shared experiences.
The iPad Tour was an ideal mix of city discovery, team tasks and digital technology. For everyone involved it was a day full of fun, exchange and valuable team experiences, a thoroughly successful example of effective team building experience in Karlsruhe.
