Team Building Event ASB Kita Bärenhöhle
As a team guide for CityHunters I had the pleasure of leading a lively Murder Mystery Geocaching on May 5, 2023 for the 14 participants from ASB Kita Bärenhöhle in Cologne. The meeting point was 11:30 at Theo-Burauen-Platz, where I welcomed the group, gave a short introduction to the game and split the participants into two teams. The energy was tangible — anticipation for puzzles, movement and shared moments of success.
Equipped with tablets and our app the teams set off: the digital tool showed the next crime scenes and guided the investigators through the city center. Along the way familiar spots such as Cologne Cathedral and the Hohenzollern Bridge became exciting locations, and Museum Ludwig also stood out as a landmark. The combination of technology and adventure made it special: solving puzzles, collecting clues and mastering team tasks — this was a new way to discover Cologne.
During the tour the teams were on their own and engaged in friendly competition for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for successfully completing cooperative challenges. I was reachable by phone throughout the game in case questions arose or support was needed — mostly there were cheerful calls with news of success and plenty of laughter.
The weather was pleasant with soft light and a gentle breeze that lifted the mood. This relaxed atmosphere helped everyone focus on the shared experience and fully enjoy the Murder Mystery Geocaching. Small things like that strengthen bonds and make a team building experience in Cologne something special.
After exactly three hours everyone met back at Theo-Burauen-Platz for the joint awards ceremony. As people gathered successes were celebrated, funny moments were shared and the sense of team was visibly strengthened. The winning team enjoyed well deserved applause — but above all the shared achievement was what mattered most.
