Team Building Event Strabag AG
Aachen impresses with its unique blend of history, science and vibrant city culture – from the Aachen Cathedral to Aachen Town Hall there is plenty to discover.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading an iPad Tour on March 24, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. for 49 colleagues from Strabag AG. We met at the INNSiDE Aachen hotel on Sandkaulstraße, where I welcomed everyone and gave a brief introduction to the iPads and our CityHunters app. From the very start you could feel the excitement: a team building experience in Aachen at its liveliest.
The group was divided into seven teams and off the adventure went. Our high-tech Scavenger Hunt took participants to well-known spots like the Aachen Cathedral, RWTH Aachen and Aachen Town Hall, with room for pleasant discoveries around the Cathedral Treasury and the Ludwig Forum. Through the app teams could pull up tasks, collect points and compete in a live ranking.
During the tour the teams were on their own and could play to their strengths in strategy, creativity and speed. Points were awarded for solving puzzles correctly and for original team tasks that truly required team spirit. I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case of technical questions or quick clarifications.
The weather was friendly and fit the mood perfectly – not too warm, not too cool, ideal for an active stroll through the city. The atmosphere was consistently positive: laughter, conversation and joint puzzling were the focus. That very combination makes our offering a strong team building experience in Aachen.
After about an hour and a half all teams met back at the INNSiDE Aachen for the awards ceremony. When the points were tallied there was a satisfying feeling of having achieved something together. A team building experience in Aachen works here not just as a game, but as an event that gives colleagues new insights into collaboration and communication.
