Team Building Event Hotel Louis C. Jacob
The twelve participants from Hotel Louis C. Jacob arrived full of energy and curiosity for the iPad Tour in Travemünde.
As the CityHunters guide I met the group promptly at the agreed meeting point on Jahrmarktstraße and, after a brief introduction to the CityHunters app and how to use the iPads, gave the starting signal. The colleagues were quickly split into two teams and each team received an iPad as the central tool for the next few hours.
Our iPad Tour in Travemünde playfully combines history, culture and cutting-edge technology. The teams navigated the town centre independently, explored corners of Travemünde and solved interactive tasks at various stations. They had to crack tricky puzzles and complete creative team challenges — correct solutions earned points that the app showed in real time.
During the tour the teams were on their own and competed in a friendly contest for the highest score. I remained reachable by phone at all times in case any questions or technical issues arose. The pleasant weather made the exploration even more enjoyable and added to the relaxed atmosphere.
Along the way the groups discovered well-known sights such as the Passat, the Travemünde lighthouse and St. Lorenz Church — ideal spots for observations, team photos and clever task-solving. After roughly three hours everyone met back at the starting point on Jahrmarktstraße for the awards ceremony. There was lots of laughter, anecdotes about clever ideas and a small winning team that deserved the applause.
