Our iPad Murder Mystery concept turns company outings into exciting detective adventures and naturally boosts team spirit.
On February 1, 2023 at 2:15 PM I had the pleasure of welcoming 19 colleagues from msg life central europe GmbH at the Stadtarchiv Alte Burg on Burgstraße in Koblenz as a CityHunters team guide. After a short introduction and a quick hands-on check with the iPads, we split the group into four teams and gave the final hints before the start.
Using the digital game map as their compass, the teams set off to explore Koblenz on their own. The route passed some of the city's most beautiful spots, from the impressive Ehrenbreitstein Fortress to the Kaiser Wilhelm monument at the Deutsches Eck and the charming Electoral Palace. Along the way the app offered tricky puzzles, observation tasks and team-oriented challenges where points could be earned.
During the tour the teams competed in friendly rivalry for the highest score: correct answers, creative team tasks and quick thinking counted. I remained reachable by phone throughout the game to help with questions or technical issues, keeping the experience smooth and secure for everyone.
The weather cooperated and spirits were high — ideal conditions for a real team building experience in Koblenz. It quickly becomes clear that events like this bring people together, encourage communication and create lasting memories. It was especially rewarding to watch colleagues develop strategies, discuss and celebrate successful solutions together.
After about three hours all teams returned to the Stadtarchiv Alte Burg where we celebrated the joint awards ceremony. As we wrapped up there was laughter, admiration of the results and the winners were announced — a fitting end to an eventful afternoon.
Events like this vividly show how effective a team building experience in Koblenz can be: exciting, interactive and great fun. I am already looking forward to the next murder mystery adventure through the streets of Koblenz!
