Team Building Event Wolff & Müller Personalentwicklung GmbH
Old Town is a city full of contrasts and discoveries – the perfect setting for a lively team building experience.
On 26.01.2023 at 16:00 I had the pleasure, as a CityHunters team guide, of welcoming the 11 participants from Wolff & Müller Personalentwicklung GmbH in front of the Deichtorhallen. After a brief introduction and an outline of the schedule, the participants were split into two teams and given a tablet with our CityHunters app so the Scavenger Hunt could begin.
The mood was expectant, the weather pleasantly mild — ideal for exploring. The groups set off through Old Town and passed well-known spots like the Elbphilharmonie, the historic Speicherstadt and the striking Chilehaus. Time and again creativity, problem-solving and communication were required: solving puzzles, completing small team tasks and uncovering hidden clues — that is how the teams earned points.
During the tour the teams operated independently and competed against each other in a friendly rivalry. I was reachable by phone if questions arose or help was needed, and I enjoyed receiving positive feedback and little anecdotes along the way. Moments like these make our team building experience so valuable: shared experiences that strengthen team dynamics and stay with people long afterwards.
After two hours the tablets guided the groups back to the starting point, where we met again in front of the Deichtorhallen. At the award ceremony there was laughter, celebration and reflection — a fitting end to an intense shared experience. The combination of discovery, puzzles and cooperation clearly showed how much joy and cohesion a well-designed team building experience can create.
Whether as a company outing with colleagues or as a company event, Geocaching in Old Town combines sightseeing with team development in a playful way. I am already looking forward to the next adventure in this impressive city and to many more teams wanting to rediscover Old Town.
